Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient assessments, and screenings.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Manage patient flow and maintain a clean, organized exam room environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Assist with diagnostic testing, including EKGs and basic lab work.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
