Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, weight, and height measurements on patients of all ages.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure infection control protocols are met.
- Administer injections, perform venipuncture, and assist with EKG procedures.
- Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty clinic setting.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment.
