Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals (BP, temp, weight), and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during clinical procedures.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure infection control standards.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Handle front desk reception duties, including answering phones and patient check-ins.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
- One year of clinical experience in a medical setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Valid California Medical Assistant license or eligibility.
