Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, injections, EKGs, and wound care
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
- Handle basic lab specimens and point-of-care testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- 1+ years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
