Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during visits.
- Record patient medical history, symptoms, and vital signs accurately.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and administer injections as directed.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, maintain medical records, and verify insurance information.
- Assist with front desk operations including check-in/check-out processes.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and medication instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
