  • Procedural Assistance: Draw blood, administer injections, and perform Point-of-Care (POCT) testing as directed by the provider.
  • Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, process patient referrals, and manage prescription refill requests efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock examination room supplies, including exam gloves, gauze, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Compassionate Care: Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions to ensure adherence and health literacy.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
  • Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty practice setting is preferred.
