Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and EKG screenings
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean examination rooms
- Coordinate patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting
- Current NY State Medical Assistant certification
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
