Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments during overnight shifts
- Perform accurate vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain patient confidentiality
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure all equipment is sanitized and operational
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk duties
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Respond to patient inquiries and triage urgent care needs
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Arizona state medical assistant certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
