Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Perform vital signs, ECGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure sterile environments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Manage inventory and supply ordering
- Respond to emergency situations per protocols
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or diploma
- NYS Medical Assistant license (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and injection skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
