Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and administer medications as directed
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Perform point-of-care testing and collect laboratory specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with night shift nursing staff for seamless patient handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to cover variable shifts including weekends
