Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate patient records using our advanced EHR system
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per infection control protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure seamless communication between departments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Respond to emergencies and stabilize patients until provider arrival
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional multitasking and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Valid Indiana driver's license and reliable transportation
