Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and rooming patients efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to patient confidentiality.
