Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and assist physicians with patient examinations.
  • Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications as directed by nursing staff and physicians.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient information, symptoms, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Lab Support: Collect and process lab specimens, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary night shift team.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome with relevant externship experience.
  • Licensure: Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
