Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and assist physicians with patient examinations.
- Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications as directed by nursing staff and physicians.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient information, symptoms, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR).
- Lab Support: Collect and process lab specimens, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary night shift team.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome with relevant externship experience.
- Licensure: Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
