Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and document them accurately in patient charts.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and minor procedures.
- Room Preparation: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies are stocked.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Medication Support: Prepare and administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Communication: Relay important patient information to the care team and answer patient inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3rd shift) including weekends.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with computer systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients safely and stand for extended periods.
