Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical history collection accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient records, including electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
- Coordinate patient flow, including scheduling appointments and managing incoming calls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized clinical environment.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Indiana Medical Assistant license required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a night shift environment.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
