Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.
- Assist physicians and providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean environment.
- Draw blood and administer injections as directed by providers.
- Manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and update electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide patient education and answer routine medical questions.
- Handle prescription refills and coordinate with pharmacy services.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
