Job Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assisting providers with clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records during the evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and symptom assessment.
- Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and injections.
- Prepare and administer medications and point-of-care testing (POCT) accurately.
- Perform basic phlebotomy duties and manage specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with patients and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification.
- Strong ability to work independently and autonomously during night shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
