Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and health history assessments accurately during night hours.
- Administer medications, injections, and phlebotomy services as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain up-to-date patient documentation.
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Assist with minor procedures and prepare examination rooms for the next shift.
- Collaborate with the night shift nursing team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally, triaging urgent needs when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a night shift role.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced nocturnal environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
