Your Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our practice, ensuring patients feel welcomed and cared for. You will work closely with our skilled physicians and nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet and Check-in Patients: Welcome patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Room Preparation: Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment before patient appointments.
- Assist Providers: Support doctors and nurses during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain patient records, update charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Duties: Perform basic lab tests, such as blood draws or urine analysis, following strict protocols.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions regarding medications and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required. We provide training!
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
