Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient examinations and treatment procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight, accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and instruments for patient visits, ensuring strict sanitation standards.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including blood draws and specimen collection, under supervision.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No prior medical experience required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but not mandatory for the entry-level role.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible shifts.
