Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations, assist physicians with procedures, and ensure patient comfort and privacy during visits.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Vitals & Screening: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and conduct basic health screenings.
- Lab Support: Collect and process blood samples, urine, and other specimens for diagnostic testing following strict safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies, exam rooms, and examination equipment to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Communication: Relay clear and concise information to patients regarding follow-up care, prescriptions, and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required; we value attitude and willingness to learn over past history.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new medical software and EHR systems quickly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Professionalism: Clean background check, valid driver's license, and professional appearance.
