Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking and taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis under the supervision of a provider.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Greet patients, answer phones, and manage front desk reception duties efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
- Ensure the examination room is clean, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
