Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with examination procedures and taking vital signs.
- Perform clinical duties including phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic wound care.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by physicians.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Greet patients and answer phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and processing insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) software is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
