Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations while maintaining sterile techniques
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform laboratory tests including phlebotomy and specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Active CPR certification and BLS certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Pennsylvania Medical Assistant license (if applicable)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural competency
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-volume environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
