Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, ECGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare and maintain patient examination rooms and medical equipment
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule efficiently
- Administer medications and injections per provider orders
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- North Carolina MA certification or willingness to obtain
- Attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
