Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination by reviewing medical history and recording vital signs.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by a provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and electronic health documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current Ohio Medical Assistant license or ability to obtain licensure.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or ACLS certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
