Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Assist in minor surgical procedures and provide post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Instruct patients on medication, diet, or home care instructions.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and organized.
- Handle front desk reception duties, including scheduling appointments and answering calls.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
