Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient examinations, injections, and specimen collection
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision and patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Epic systems
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and appointment management
- Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment for daily operations
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Texas MA certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional travel between facilities
