Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in patient examinations, procedures, and treatment protocols
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing processes
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Texas MA license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) and medical software
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to adapt to hybrid remote/on-site work structure
