Responsibilities
- Perform vital sign measurements and patient intake documentation
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections per protocol
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and equipment
- Process lab specimens and manage electronic health records
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- New York State medical assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care or ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
