Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform vital sign measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Prepare laboratory specimens for testing and handle phlebotomy duties.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle incoming calls professionally.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in a clinical or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, urgent care environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
