Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood samples, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by providers and in accordance with state regulations.
- Manage patient records electronically, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Greet patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State of Washington DC Medical Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred but will consider enthusiastic new graduates.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
