Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history assessments with high accuracy.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws and point-of-care testing.
- Manage front-desk operations, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and insurance verification.
- Assist with medical billing coding (ICD-10/CPT) and ensure accurate documentation.
- Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions to ensure compliance and wellness.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or MA (NCMA) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Proficiency with EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
