Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring all supplies are stocked
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Handle patient billing and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
