Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical history, and symptoms.
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
  • Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and other basic clinical duties as required.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens accurately and in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  • Provide patient education and answer questions regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Manage the front desk flow, including scheduling appointments and handling check-ins.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
