Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history documentation accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKG.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
