Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examination.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist physicians during exams.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Admin Tasks: Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and manage appointment scheduling.
- Communication: Clearly communicate test results and treatment plans to patients in a friendly manner.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, EHR systems, and basic medical terminology.
- License: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Reliability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
