Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and medical history collection accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic laboratory tests as directed.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation.
- Ensure examination rooms are sterilized, stocked, and organized for patient use.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate anxiety.
- Coordinate lab specimen collection and diagnostic testing scheduling.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
