Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking, vitals, and hygiene.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and administer medications as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and communicate test results to patients and families.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
