Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, patient assessments, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and patient visits.
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling, patient filing, and insurance verification.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and draw blood (phlebotomy).
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred but willing to train motivated candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records software.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation.
