Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital signs measurement, and EKGs
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical treatments
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and exam rooms
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk duties
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume environments
