Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain medical examination rooms, ensuring strict sterilization protocols.
- Fax and email prescriptions to local pharmacies as directed by physicians.
- Collect and process patient insurance information and co-pays efficiently.
- Assist with lab specimen collection and basic point-of-care testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
