Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history documentation with accuracy and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and handle insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
