Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical interventions
- Maintain accurate patient records using Epic EHR system
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA or RMA) and California state license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, EKG, and injection techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA protocols and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced weekend environments
- BLS/CPR certification and current immunization records
- Experience with Epic EHR preferred
