Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including wound care, injections, and EKGs
- Perform vital signs, patient intake, and preliminary health assessments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile, organized medical environments
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure seamless weekend clinic operations
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Tennessee state medical assistant license
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and compliance
