Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and explaining procedures.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during exams and minor procedures.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure the examination rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results and follow-up care instructions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between Charlotte, NC, and Virginia locations.
