Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient assessments, vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment following OSHA protocols
- Assist providers with procedures and maintain accurate medical records
- Manage patient flow and coordinate weekend appointment schedules
- Administer medications and provide patient education
- Process insurance claims and handle billing documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle emergencies
- Flexibility for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
