Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and patient assessments
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and handle phone triage
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Florida Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or similar)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
