Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and exam room preparation
- Administer injections and medications per physician orders
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent phlebotomy and ECG skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Texas BLS/CPR certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
