Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements and basic diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
- Sterilize equipment and maintain exam room inventory
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active MA certification or CMA/CCMA credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
